General Counsel

Mona is General Counsel for M&T Realty Capital Corporation (M&T RCC). She is an experienced legal professional with extensive in-house and large law firm transactional experience in finance, equity investment, and real estate. Before joining M&T RCC in 2016, Mona was associate general counsel for Fannie Mae for 13 years, where she served as transaction counsel for Fannie Mae lender accounts, structured transactions, acquisitions of seasoned loans, mezzanine debt, equity investments, and construction loan participations. Earlier, Mona was “of counsel” at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, general counsel of JBG Companies, an associate at Hogan & Hartson, and an associate at ArentFox Schiff.

Mona earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from the College of William & Mary, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia.
