David is a Managing Director of M&T Realty Capital Corporation (M&T RCC), based in the New Jersey and New York City offices, and specializing in both multifamily originations and affordable housing. His tenure of over 30 years includes diversified capital markets and transactional experience.
Before joining M&T RCC, David was a senior advisor to the president of Related Affordable at Related Companies, focusing on portfolio management, derivative products, and secondary market interest rate/risk management issues. He also spent over seven years at Lument and its legacy companies as a senior vice president and director of multifamily originations. Additionally, David served as the chief financial officer of the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (NJHMFA) from 2010 to 2015, managing a $4 billion balance sheet and overseeing the Capital Markets and Finance divisions. He developed NJHMFA’s Conduit Bond Program, executed an operational turnaround recognized by Standard & Poor’s, and managed the rehabilitation of over $200 million in distressed affordable housing.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from New York Law School. He has also been a guest lecturer at Princeton University and University of Richmond. An active member of the New York State Bar, he also holds FINRA Series 7, 52, 63, and 79 securities licenses.
