Deputy Chief Credit Officer & Affordable Chief Underwriter

Joanie joined M&T Realty Capital Corporation (M&T RCC) in early 2020 to lead our Agency credit team for the Affordable Housing Platform. Upon joining the team, she was instrumental in helping to secure the Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing license and developing an affordable-focused screening and underwriting team. In addition to her work in the affordable housing space, she is currently responsible for the credit oversight of RCC’s agency platform, both conventional and affordable, and its on-balance sheet multifamily bridge platform. Prior to joining M&T RCC, Joanie was the chief underwriter for a private placement platform and led the screening and underwriting teams for the Agency platform for another Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac lender.

Joanie is a graduate of Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma, and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
